Truth to hold onto
Guilt can be confessed and cleansed; shame is a lie about who you are. When you look to Him, your face is lifted — not hidden. There is no condemnation waiting for you in His presence.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
A short prayer
Lord, I have been hiding. I bring You what I am ashamed of instead of carrying it alone. Cleanse what needs cleansing, and lift my face. Let me believe that I am loved here, in the truth. Amen.
