Truth to hold onto
God comforts the way a mother comforts — close, patient, without impatience. He does not comfort you only so you can move on quickly; He comforts because He is merciful.
“Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.”
“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.”
A short prayer
Father of all comfort, I need You near. Not answers right now — just Your presence. Comfort me the way only You can, and stay with me. Amen.
