Truth to hold onto
Scripture tells us to ask boldly for healing and to trust God's goodness with the answer. Healing sometimes comes quickly, sometimes slowly through care and time, and sometimes only in eternity. His nearness is promised in every case.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
“And with his stripes we are healed.”

A short prayer
Lord, You know this pain better than I can describe it. I ask You for healing, and I ask for Your presence either way. Guide those caring for me, strengthen me today, and hold what I cannot. Amen.
