Truth to hold onto
God is nearest to the broken, not furthest. He keeps your tears; He binds wounds slowly and carefully, the way a healer does. Your grief is not an interruption of your faith.
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.”
A short prayer
Lord, my heart is broken and I cannot fix it. Come close. Hold the pieces while I cannot. Keep my tears and heal me gently, in Your time, not in a hurry. Amen.
