Truth to hold onto
Hope in Scripture is not optimism — it is a Person. God Himself is called the God of hope, and He fills rather than demands. His mercies arrive new tomorrow morning whether you can feel them tonight or not.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
A short prayer
God of hope, I have none of my own left. Fill what is empty in me. Hold me through tonight, and meet me with new mercy in the morning. I am still here, and I am still Yours. Amen.
