The peace Christ gives is unlike the world's, which depends on circumstances behaving. His peace guards the heart and mind while the situation is still unresolved.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.”
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
A short prayer
Jesus, You give peace the world cannot give. Let it rule in my heart today. Keep my mind stayed on You, and quiet me from the inside out. Amen.
