Truth to hold onto
Fervent does not mean frantic. Zeal that lasts is rooted in who God is, offered heartily to Him rather than performed for people.
“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
A short prayer
Lord, keep my heart fervent without burning me out. Let whatever I do be done heartily for You, and sustain this fire with Your Word. Amen.
