Guided Prayer
One · Pause
Be still for a moment. Breathe in slowly, and out slowly — three times. There is no hurry here, and no one is watching.
Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10 · KJV
Two · Check in
Where is fear sitting in your body? Breathe in slowly, out slowly, twice.
Three · Scripture · King James Version
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10 · KJV
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Psalm 56:3 · KJV
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 · KJV
Four · Reflection
God's answer to fear is rarely an explanation — it is His presence. 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee.' Courage is trusting while still afraid.
Five · Pray this
Father, I am afraid. I will trust You in the middle of it. Uphold me with Your right hand, steady my mind, and remind me that You are with me in what I am walking toward. In Jesus' name, amen.
Six · Now in your own words
Pray: 'What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee' — and name what you fear.
Seven · Private journal
What am I most afraid of? Where has God been faithful before?
Eight · One practical step
Take the smallest brave step today, and tell someone you trust that you are scared.
Before you go
Being afraid is not a sin. You brought your fear to God, and He is with you.
