Guided Prayer
One · Pause
Be still for a moment. Breathe in slowly, and out slowly — three times. There is no hurry here, and no one is watching.
Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10 · KJV
Two · Check in
Take one slow breath. What is the pressure you are under today?
Three · Scripture · King James Version
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Psalm 55:22 · KJV
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Matthew 6:34 · KJV
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
John 14:27 · KJV
Four · Reflection
Casting your burden is not denial — it is transfer. Christ's peace is given differently than the world gives it: quietly, in the middle of the pressure.
Five · Pray this
Lord, I cast this burden on You, and I trust You to sustain me. Let Your peace settle my heart. Keep me in today, and not in tomorrow. In Jesus' name, amen.
Six · Now in your own words
Name each pressure, and after each one say: 'I cast this on You.'
Seven · Private journal
What is pressing on me, and what only needs attention today.
Eight · One practical step
Take ten minutes away from screens to breathe and be still.
Before you go
He will sustain you. You do not need to hold it all together.
