Guided Prayer

Loneliness

One · Pause

Be still for a moment. Breathe in slowly, and out slowly — three times. There is no hurry here, and no one is watching.

Be still, and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10 · KJV

Two · Check in

How long has it felt this way? Loneliness is worth saying out loud.

Three · Scripture · King James Version

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5 · KJV

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

Psalm 27:10 · KJV

And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8 · KJV

Four · Reflection

God's promise is not that people will never leave, but that He will not. Even so, He often answers loneliness through people — so asking for company is part of the prayer.

Five · Pray this

Lord, I feel alone. Thank You that You have said You will never leave me nor forsake me. Let me feel Your nearness today, and lead me toward people who will know me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Six · Now in your own words

Ask God plainly for one friend, and for courage to reach out.

Seven · Private journal

Who could I reach out to this week? What makes it hard?

Eight · One practical step

Send one message today — short is fine. Presence begins with a first word.

Before you go

You are not forgotten. You are not too much.
